Howdy family and friends!
We had a good week this past week. Very busy with it being the first week of the transfer. Monday night we had one of my past companions come and stay with us and another missionary that I've served around. It was good to see them and see how they have been doing. It was the first time in my mission that I haven't gone to the transfer site which was odd, just a normal day to start off the transfer. So we got right to work on Tuesday and it was honestly a really good week. On Tuesday we had a lesson with one of our friends Brian and we showed up just wanting to talk about faith and build on that with him. We got into the lesson and we were reading in Alma 32 and he was really focused and involved with the lesson which was awesome. We read a verse and he paused and said, "I have a question" so we said alright. And brian proceeded to say, "what if I wanted to get baptized?" That was straight out of left field. So we talked to him about what it means to be baptized and he set a date for February 5th which is super cool. Pretty awesome way to start the transfer.
We had a lot of meetings and other bureaucratic stuff to take care of as well this week with the transfer starting but that's always a good time.
We also had exchanged with Elders, Edmonds, Smith, and Empey. I went with Elder Edmonds in our area. We had an awesome day and worked really hard. We went and visited a member and she told us about her next door neighbor who is 90 years old and has questions about the plan of salvation. We went over and visited him and he was really funny. We had to talk really loud and he told us a lot about the 90 years he's lived. We shared the book of mormon with him and he seemed pretty excited!
It was a good week, no complaints.
