It has been a few busy weeks here in the YSA 5th ward and I'm really enjoying the work. We've been able to meet some really cool people in the last few weeks and we've seen a lot of progress with many of the people we're teaching. It has been really intetesting contacting people that are my age and adjusting the ways that I direct the conversations we have with other people. It's cool to be able to talk to people that are so unfamiliar with talking openly about spirituality and God and their perspectives on life.
The new transfer was two weeks ago and it's been good to be with Elder Waltman in my first duo since I've been back. we've been working hard. I also did an exchange with Elder Riches before he left to the Gila Valle and it was really cool to be able to work with him and do missionary work together. I love that guy so much and he's alwasy been sucha good example to me before and during the mission.
So much has happened in the last two weeks that is worth mentioning but the biggest thing that I feel to mention is an experience that Elder Waltman and I had this past week. We we're contacted by some other missioanries in the far northern portion of our zone and they said that a member was going to pull is daughter off life suport after a few days of being in a coma. It was a somber experience to share with this father watching the pain of a greiving father that was on the verge of losing his daughter. There was a lot of feelings and emotions that passed during this time that we spent with them but I'd like to focus on one thing that I took away from this experience. The father was so deeply grieving the loss of his daughter and the only thing that brought him any type of peace or comfort in this most bitter moment because of the power and hope that Christ brings into our lives. Christ is the light and life of our lives brings us hope and peace when it can not come from any other source. It touched me so deeply the power and peace that Christ is able to bring to our lives. It was a very touching experience. I've grateful for Christ's power that he is able to bring into our lives. Seek light. Allow it to have place in you and accept Gods answers.
