It is crazy to say that it is already the last week of another transfer. This past transfer with Elder Mortenson has been one of the must humbling and trying of my mission thus far but we made it to the last week and were starting to see success little by little as we put in effort and use creative means to find those that are prepared to receive our message.
Yesterday we had a refreshing discussion with this elderly Spanish man named rusio that we had met this past week. When we first met him he did not seem very interested but said he would let us in if we came over. We sat with him briefly and he turned to me and asked me one question. He asked with his whole soul, "how do you feel the holy ghost?", I bore a brief but true testimony of how I have felt the spirit in my life. It broke my heart that this man well stricken with age responded with, "I've never felt that in my whole life." We then were able to share with him how he could feel that same spirit and have it become the guiding hand to his life. You could see the lift in his face when we shared that with him. It is very comforting to see how just the most simple principles can influence other people.
We had a really busy week especially during the weekend with General conference and all that it usually entails. We have been really trying to take advantage of the tools that we have been given and faithfully use them to help us do our missionary work each day. We have been seeing little moments of success using technology to share the gospel this past week and it's been cool to see how these things help bring people to the gospel in little ways.
Conference was very enlightening and I have drawn much from the inspired council. It was a very spiritually edifying week!
