This was our first week of officially being over both the YSA 5th and 3rd wards and it has gone pretty well. The other Elders that used to cover the 3rd ward didn't have too much going on so it hasn't been too much of a change other than our area is much larger and we gained some new members!
This week has seemed to just fly by with everything that we have been doing. We had a couple missionaries that were leaving Thursday stay with us for the day before they left which was fun but man did they talk about wanting to be at home which never really helps out the mission experience. On Wednesday right before the district council we noticed that someone had thrown a rock through the window at the church that we met at which was pretty crazy. We also had a guy threaten to shank us and almost threw a T.V. in our car this past week so the heat is not helping the mental status of the homeless people here in Tucson so keep them in your prayers.
This week we are preparing for the baptism of someone we're teaching named Maya (we are actually sitting outside her baptismal interview right now). She is an awesome woman! She is super deep in her convictions about the truth of the gospel and it's awesome to see how it has helped her in her life. She has been confronting a lot this past week so keep her in your prayers this coming week!
Not too crazy of a week but this next week for the zone conference I will be doing my first exchange with Elder Midyette since his training so that will be a good time!
Have a good week!
Elder Holman
