Well the first transfer has come and gone quickly despite it being a 7 week transfer. Elder Medina and I will be staying here in West Tucson serving in the El Rio ward! I'm beyond excited to be able to continue to work with Elder Medina and continue to practice mu Spanish with him, we're both eager to see how this transfer will go and see how the people here will progress and come unto Christ. It has been an interesting week and has gone by extremely quickly as most weeks do. We had a working zone conference which was the first time I had the opportunity to experience one and it was very different but I learned a lot. It is basically a normal zone conference split up over a few days and we do an exchange in there. I went on my first exchange into a full English area. It was an interesting experience to say the least and my testimony grew so much of the Lord calling us where we need to be, I love being a Spanish missionary.
This week we had an interesting experience with an investigator of ours. Last week I spoke to my family about this girl we've started teaching, our first lesson was really good and we were able to explain the plan of salvation a little better in a way that she could understand it. The second lesson we showed up just thinking it was a normal lesson but she came out very done up to say the least and we were not expecting it, the lesson was alright but she was a little different to us more flirtatious than the previous time. We thought that was weird but thought well we'll see what happens next week (being this week). We showed up not really knowing what to expect from her but she came out even more done up and it just didn't seem right. So we taught the lesson as planned and it went pretty well. We started for the car and elder medina and i were out of there pretty quickly but our third companion kinda ligered on the porch talking to her, his first mistake. They were just chatting and he let her know that he was leaving, second mistake. She was sad about that and kinda carried on about that for a minute then just out of nowhere said "Do you want a hug?" and the third and final mistake he made was he said, 'sure". It was like watching the end of a date haha, funny stuff.
I am grateful to be here in the mission again, it truly is a blessing. I have seen so many blessings in my own life and the lives of those we've taught this transfer. God knows us and listens to our prayers and is always there to give us the counsel we need in the moment we need it, seek and ye shall find. His hand is stretched out all the day long, all we can do is reach out our own.
