The Lord will provide

This week was super awesome. It had it's ups and down but the Lord gave to us in our times of need and showed his hand in administering many blessings on Elder Midyette and I. This week was a little crazy with Zone conference because for us it takes out our whole day and makes it so we cannot do anything all day which stinks and throws off our teaching for the week but the Lord made up for us this week. We have been working really hard lately and doing alot of finding because sadly the three best people we were teaching all moved to other places which is too bad but thats the lords plan for them!

 This week we saw many miralces for our efforts with finding. We recieved a call from one of the really solid members in the spanish ward asking us if we could go teach a lesson about prayer and fasting. We accepted and set up the lesson for Saturday night. We showed up a little late but he was waiting outside for us and we went in and his whole family was waiting inside for the lesson. we talked about prayer and the spirit was so strong. we asked one of the sons how prayer has influenced his life and he shared a very personal story and just began to cry. They graciosly accepted a copy of the book of mormon. They fed us and we invited them to Church the next day but they told us they probably wouldn't be able to make it so we set up a follow up appointment and left it at that. We were sitting in Church the next day and about five minutes into sacrament meeting in walks the whole family! It was so awesome and they stayed all two hours and the mom was balling during the class. The lord knows his sheep and prepares a way that we all can recieve this beautiful Gospel message. 

The Joy and light the Gospel brings is undeniable that it is of God. I was able to finish the Book of Mormon for the second time on my mission yesterday. The truth those words bring and the testimony the Holy Ghost gives as we read all holy scriptures that testify of Jesus Christ make my undeniable testimony. It saddens me to see people reject this message we bring with out giving it the slighest  chance. We had a lesson this week with a man who would not accept an invitation to read the book of mormon, to see the truth it brings about our savior Jesus Christ and the salvation he's given us. To revieve a testimony of anything it takes faith, it takes action and a desire to know. This is the only way that we can recieve truth. we have to ask God a question with the faith to recieve an answer. That answer can be yes or no but it comes from God and is the ONLY way we can receive answers to questions of such great importance. It's exactly what Joseph Smith did, he asked having faith in Jesus Christ and he did receive. I know this and so can you by the same means. Our father in heaven seeks to answer the prays of all ESPECIALLY the dilligent. It may take time but trust in God and find the truth!

The miracle of Golf

 Dear family and friends,  We had a really great week this past week! We worked really hard and made a ton of contacts with people in our area and saw a lot of cool tender mercies and miracles! Elder Torgerson and I have been trying out a new style of contacting this past week and it's been really awesome. We put a different contact in for every 15 minute period during our day. Some take longer, some are shorter but it allows us to get in with some people we have not seen for quite a while.  This past week we also went golfing with Tommyee's husband David. We got special permission from our mission President to go and play with him! As many of you may know I love to Golf and so does David so it worked out and we went and played 18 holes at the course in their neighborhood. It was the first time in my life that I've actually played 18 holes and it took a lot longer than we had anticipated it was going to. Last Haul

  Well I'm pushing into the last week of my mission. It is hard to believe that this really is the end. It doesn't feel all too different from everything else that I've done these last 14 months, it just feels like the end of another transfer. I would be lying if I said I was not looking forward to seeing family and friends, some of which I have not seen for nearly 3 years which is crazy to think about. I have cherished the time I've had to serve as a missionary and I'm super grateful that I was able to return to be a full time missionary despite the obstacle of the pandemic. I welcome what comes next and I really don't have too much of an idea as to what lies ahead of me at this point. There is a lot that still is up in the air but I know that the Lord will provide.  This past week was good. Fairly normal. We were able to teach some lessons. Meet some new people. Ya me voy

  Dear family and friends, I received news this past saturday that I will be leaving Sahuarita and Elder Mortenson and heading back up to Tucson. We have 4 tucson zones in the mission and this will be the last one I need to serve in, east zone. I'm excited to for the change and am very optimistic about the area! I was only here for 6 weeks in this area and with elder Mortenson during his training so it will be sad to leave it all behind. This has been one of my most challenging transfers of my mission thus far and the Lord really refined and humbled me in the process, he has a way of doing that to us. I have never pleaded more for heavenly help for something beyond my own personal needs than I have in this past transfer. It truly brought me down to the lowest depth of humility and made me stand back multiple times and say, "I dont know what to do, take my hand and guide me."
