Another week in the books down here and Nogales and things are going great down here. Were working hard and looking for interested people and find some everyday, the lords hand is in this work! This week we had a lot of service and I was able to use a weed whacker twice which was fun to do again I missed it, the grass gets super tall because it's the rainy season so lots of weed whacking! It rained one night this week and when we got back to our house there was a huge frog right at our door which was kinds scary because all i could see was it move and bug eyes, I thought it was a rat. Lots of goofy animals down here we saw two road runners this week. But there's tons of flies here its crazy and they're everywhere we went to the landfill to dump some grass for a lady in the ward and there was so many flies it was crazy haha. They're just everywhere though I dont get why.
This week I had the opportunity to speak in the English ward and I was asked to talk about elder rasbands talk from last conference, Building a fortress of spirituality and protection. I've learned on my mission you get alot more out of conference talks when you go back and read them they're really so powerful! This talk is about building a christ centered home and building ourselves up through gospel principles like praying, reading the scriptures, going to church, keeping the commandments, and enduring to the end. And how these things build us up even to the point of being fortified in the gospel and having this protection from the adversary and the world. The scripture story he referenced was when Moroni is fortifying the cities of nephi against the lammanites. We need to build ourselves up to thus type of protection against the adversary! I testify that we do this by reading the scriptures and doing these gospel principles and when we do these things faithfully the adversary had no power over us! I have never found more comfort in my life or on my mission than when I pray and read the scriptures especially rhe book of mormon. The answers to all of lives questions are in these books of scripture.
Thanks for everyone who reads these and writes me it's very appreciated. I love you all and hope everyone doing good. Congrats on everyone who entered the MTC and had their farewells, what an awesome opportunity so many people are taking to serve their god and gather israel!
