Elder Mason Holman

  Start of another transfer here in Tucson and it came with a lot of different changes. I had to say goodbye to my best friend Elder Riches as he and my past companion finished their missions and I said goodbye to all those that I started the mission with and it leaves me as the last one standing. I got a new companion Elder Girgenti who is from Houston, Texas.  He is a really hard working elder and loves the Lord and desires to work hard. He was actually in this area this past year and was trained by Elder Riches here in the thick of COVID.  We started off the week with having elder riches and his companions and another companionship come and stay the night at our apartment since we are close to the transfer sight. It was a great send off with him and he was able to give me some sage advice of a dying missionary. He  really has been a great influence to me as I have served my mission and my love and respect for him has grown a lot.  I picked up my new companion...

  The transfer comes to a quick end. This past week really flew by so quickly and its crazy to think that another transfer has come and gone. It is the last transfer of all of the english missionaries that I came in with to the mission so I'm losing a lot of my great mission friends. 22 leave this transfer and were getting 19 new missionaries coming to the mission today so lots of changed on their way! Elder waltman is finishing his mission so I'll be getting a new companion named Elder Gergenti and I've heard that he is a good missionary so I look forward to serving with him. Elder riches will also be going home and actually is staying the night at our apartment so it will be good to have a nice little send off with him. Lots of changes are on their way.  This week was pretty eventful, I did an exchange with Elder Morgan and elder Nunnelly which went well and was good to be able to go around such young missionaries, they are always a good time to be around.   Well as I often do I have left my email to the very last hour of this preparation day so I will more than likely be brief with what I say.  This coming week is the last week of the transfer and the last week for my current companion, Elder waltman. There will be 21 missionaries leaving (including my dear friend elder riches) and 19 additional missionaries coming in! It will be a very exciting week for that reason. I will get a new companion in the area and I really hope that we will be able to train a new missionary but we will see what the lord has in mind!  Elder Waltman and I had a really great week and we've been able to get a lot of good work done! This week throughout the mission we have gone to one phone per companionship and it really has been awesome. This is the closest I've felt with elder waltman and we've just been very in tune with the spirit and it has made a world of difference in our work this week.
