Rain

It's been a really good week, we've seen lots of blessings from the Lord. It's rained basically the entire week which always makes for an interesting experience as missionaries. So many of the people we've begun to teach are progressing and it's been awesome to see them progress from the day we first got in contact with them to where they are now. I see a light in them when they have a true desire to learn these things, it shows to me the souls true desire to find the true answers to the questions that we all wonder in this life. How did we get here? Is there a purpose to this life? Where can we find truth? When we teach people about the answers to these questions it is awesome to see the light that comes within them. I love teaching and speaking with people daily, my spanish fortunately has come back to me quickly thanks to elder medina and I truly love these people. Not everyday as a missionary is easy or necessarily fun but to see that light and feel that spiri...

The hand of the Lord

This is the Lords work, "no unhollowed hand can stop the work from progressing" this is one of the most true statements ever made in this generation. When I arrived here in west Tucson we were not teaching anyone and had the Elders had already contacted every grey dot in area book and tried their hardest to facebook find with no success. From the worlds perspective you would expect no success to come from such an area, but the lord knows all things and through him there is nothing that is impossible. I do not have much time this week but it has been an awesome week and I have received so many witnesses of the truthfulness of this work and the message that we carry with us. I am so greatful for the opportunity I have to be here as a missionary and share the Lord's gospel. Have a blessed week and come unto Christ.  Elder Holman

New year, new opportunities

This week has been super good here in the Arizona Tucson mission. I just barely got back from playing 9 holes with elder riches and his companion. To summarize we were all a little rusty and look forward to improving our golf game as we enjoy this new year.  New years is always an awesome opportunity to look back and see what we've learned and look forward to what we want to do better and improve. I looked at my journal entry from last new years when I was in the mission and how hopefully i was in that moment. Things were going great in the work and I could not have imagined the year that 2020 would have been in my life. I look back and contrast what my view was at that point and the year that actually came and went in my life. It was in no way an easy year, returning from my mission unexpectedly with no return in sight was challenging but looking back I see so many was that the lord prepared me for this year and how many lessons I learned in the past year that I could not h...
